In the quiet streams of Mexico, Blimpy timidly paddled along his hometown river. His parents were too busy for him, and because the other beaver children found him awkward, he was usually alone. He drifted on, quietly longing for a connection.

Farther down the stream, he reached a secluded spot where his little treehouse stood. He stepped inside with excitement, only to be surprised by blueberries scattered across the floor. His stomach growled, and he eagerly gobbled them. Feeling content and drowsy, he falls into a deep sleep.

When Blimpy awoke in Sweet Haven, he found himself transformed into a Blueberry Beaver on Tarty Cove! He comes to learn he is no longer looked at strangely.
